Virtuality Screen Goes Live at Preston North End

ADI have completed installation of a brand new LED screen for Championship Club Preston North End (PNE).

PNE's brand new screen in use at the recent match against Wolves The 25m² Virtuality screen hangs from the roof of the Bill Shankly Kop showing full coverage of every match as well as fantastic pre-match entertainment to the Deepdale crowds.  The screen also offers local and national businesses a great opportunity to advertise to the Preston North End fanbase, through ADI’s Football Network – a unique stadium LED screen advertising network.

Virtuality is ADI’s proprietary brand and the favourite of UK football, with over 1000m² installed in British stadia in the last two years.  This is the second Championship LED screen ADI have installed this season, following the installation at QPR’s Loftus Road last month.  ADI have been instrumental in establishing LED technology in Championship and League One clubs, and they operate nearly 60% of screens outside of the Premier League.

As well as live match action, the screen also shows information, such as substitutions In addition to the LED screen, ADI have also installed a full control suite for PNE, which is situated within the new Invincibles Pavilion. The suite features video mixer, audio and video router, DVD recorders, a dedicated PC for the match clock and another for match graphics.  PNE provide their own screen operators for each match, as well as creating their own programme – including highlights of recent matches – played out prior to each match.

Part of ADI’s unique selling proposition is the ability to assist in funding their screens through commercial sales. Preston join ADI’s Football Network – a unique advertising network of nearly every football stadium LED screen in the UK which allows major brands to target fans nationally across multiple screens, bringing in valuable advertising revenue to Clubs involved.

The screen is operated from the ADI-installed control suite, which looks out directly onto the pitch ADI CEO Geraint Williams commented: “As a Preston-based business it gives me great pleasure to partner our local team on this project.  LED screens have been commonplace in Premiership stadia for a number of years now, but now – thanks to the commercial solution that only ADI can offer – they are viable for Championship and League One Clubs.”

Sharon Smith, Client Account Manager at ADI, added: “The new screen benefits fans and Club alike, with an improved matchday experience as well increased exposure for Preston North End’s commercial partners and additional income for the Club through The Football Network.”

Customer Comment
