Huge crowds of thousands flocked to Brooklands for the free event (with tickets awarded to a lucky 15,000 following a ballot process) to see their Grand Prix heroes take to the track.
The event was organised by INP Media for Mercedes-Benz, with ADI contracted by Allan Parsons, who was Technical Producer for the presentation, covering outside broadcast, LED screens and PA system.
Back-to-back iCONIC 60s ensured everyone got a great view
ADI’s supplied two iCONIC 60 mobile LED screens which were positioned back-to-back in the centre of the track, ensuring near 360° viewing angles, and took a live feed from the five camera outside broadcast team.
The huge crowds were kept well entertained throughout the day by a host of famous track stars and cars. Formula One was well represented with both Mclaren Mercedes drivers Heikki Kobvaleinen and 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton, driving his championship winning MP4-23. 2009 drivers and constructors champions Brawn were also in attendance, with their renowned owner Ross Brawn showcasing their championship winning car, driven by test driver Anthony Davidson.
